DUNDEE, NY- It stunk for everyone in attendance last week when the rains wiped out the final five features of the night, but for anyone who makes it to the Black Rock Speedway this Friday will get to see three of those features, plus another seven, run for the same low price.

Suzuki Motorcycles will present what will be the tenth consecutive week of racing at the Black Rock Speedway in 2007. Not only will the seven weekly divisions be running their full program, the street stocks, pro trucks, as well as the 4-cylinders will be making up the featuring that was lost last weekend.

The headline event of the program will be the $1,000-to-win Bud Foster Memorial for the super stock competitors. This division will get a solid boost for this event to commemorate the life of one of the greatest competitors that Dundee has ever seen. Foster was recently inducted to the Black Rock Speedway Hall of Fame over the winter.

The Freedom Village USA Super Stocks have had some hotly contested events this season, with the same names of Jeremy Wonderling and Donnie Smith ending up in Victory Lane. Local favorites Quinn Sutherland and Rich Karlnoski are in the battle every week, though, and should be near the front again this time around.

The Marble’s Automotive 358-modifieds were not able to run last week and will not have their makeup this week, making this week’s feature the only 358-modified race at Black Rock in the span of a month over the course of June. Steve Paine leads the points but may soon lose it come July, leaving Ray Bliss, Brian Swarthout, and countless others to start figuring out who is going to win the Championship.

The Hoselton Automotive Crate Sportsman has two young rookies: Brady Fultz and Justin Wright, going after the title. So far this year Brady Fultz has a win, Wright does not. After a win by Greg Hixson this past Friday, a driver who struggled out of the box, it is anyone’s game this Friday.

A number of street stocks were not at Black Rock last week due to a Mr. DIRTcar Street Stock event. Not only was that race rained out at Brewerton, they didn’t miss anything at home either. Those drivers, such as Bubba Burnell, Darl Ellis and Nate Peckham will return to sort it out in the second of two features after those that were there last week make up that feature event.

One of the raciest divisions in 2007 in Dundee has been the Regional Truck Pro Trucks. Terry Povoski won the heat last week, but it has seemed like an eternity since he won his last feature, which was just a few weeks ago. He will have two chances to break out of his “slump” on Friday.

The Signs Plus of Kanona 4-Cylinders will be the other group running double features on Friday. One feature is usually worth the price of admission; so another 20 laps will be thrilling this week.

The Home Necessities Bandits have not had a feature postponed or cancelled all year long and will attempt to make it 10 in a row this Friday and look for Rocker Austin to attempt to continue adding to the point lead.

Once again, general adult admission is just $10 for 10 features, including the special $1000-to-win Bud Foster Memorial.
