A-Verdi King of Upstate NY Championship ASCS Patriot Event from Black Rock Now Showing on Hot Wings TV

It was the highest-paying regular season ASCS Patriot event of the year and now it can be relived or seen for the first time on television.

The A-Verdi Championship from Black Rock Speedway will begin airing soon on Time Warner Cable Sportsnet Channels across Upstate New York. Nearly two million homes will have access to this second episode, which will run throughout the month of September.

The feature event saw a very racy 4/10-mile oval which brought a number of top talents to the front. They were all chasing after the $4,000 top prize, and for six drivers, they were also looking to capture the lucrative A-Verdi King of Upstate NY Crown.

Along with all of the Patriot regulars in attendance, the Watkins Glen weekend allowed NASCAR Nationwide Regular and former USAC Standout Ricky Stenhouse Jr. to invade and make his presence known in his first race in New York State. NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart was also in competition, but his night was cut short in his heat race in an incident captured for Hot Wings TV.

Host Doug Elkins and Commentator Rich Vleck not only cover all of the sprint car action from a jam-packed night; they also review the seven Patriot races leading up to Black rock. Rich also takes a look at how ASCS passing points work in this month’s A-Feature. Reporter Greg Birosh files another installment of the Hot Wings TV Tech Tip as well in the 60-minute episode.

Many of the airtimes for this episode take place in the week leading up to Black Rock’s Fall Sprint Nationals, being held September 10-11. More than 20 of the drivers racing in this episode will be at the Fall Sprint Nationals, plus a host of others.

Scheduled airtimes are listed below for Albany, Central and Western New York. Additional airtimes may still be added. Those slots, like all others, are listed on the all-new show website, www.HotWingsMedia.com.

Hot Wings TV is made possible by A-Verdi Storage Containers, Black Rock Speedway and their Fall Sprint Nationals, Lauterborn Electric, Mike Emhof Motorsports and Gater Racing News.
