Rich Vleck, DUNDEE, NY (October 23, 2011)- With Dutch Hoag’s National Open Weekend now in the rear-view mirror, the focus at the Dundee, NY oval now shifts to the third running of Enduro’s crown jewel.

On Saturday, November 5, the gates of the Black Rock Speedway will swing open one final time in 2011 for the third running of the $10,000-to-win Big One Enduro.

The first two editions of the 100 lap enduro have come right down to the wire. Bill Werner (2009) and Ronnie Hill (2010) have been regular visitors to BRS in the seasons in which the claimed the $10,000 prize, but a host of invaders are also expected.

The 4-cylinder stock FWD event allows all cars to start 100-lap battle, with about a dozen drivers guaranteed a starting position near the front of the pack.  Those interested in competing for the King’s Ransom are highly advised to visit the Big One Enduro Page on Black Rock’s website to view the rules, pre-register and have other questions answered.

The Big One will not be the only event on the day.  Sportsman competitors from all around will also have an opportunity to get one final race in New York in before the end of the season.  There will be a pair of $1,000-to-win, $100-to-start sportsman features, one for crates, and one for open motors. There is no entry fee for this event however competitors interested in competing in both features will need two cars.

The IMCA Modifieds will conclude their first season of regular competition at BRS with a $1000-to-win feature.  The race will also serve as a 2012 Fastshaft Qualifier, guaranteeing the winner a spot in the select event at the Boone Nationals in Iowa.

Adult and youth demolition derbies are also on the card, along with a snowmobile demolition derby that will not want to be missed.

After Dutch Hoag’s National Open Weekend, which featured approximately 10,000 individual laps of action, this final event will act as a dessert to full course that was served in October. Pit gates will officially open at 10:00 A.M., with grandstand gates opening at 11:00 A.M. Heat races will begin at 1:00 P.M., with action sure to move right along.  For more information, visit www.BlackRockSpeedway.com.
