Rich Vleck, DUNDEE, NY, (June 28, 2013)- The full racing card this Friday at Black Rock Speedway featuring the second appearance of the season by the Patriot Sprint Tour has been lost due to poor weather conditions.
With heavy rains hitting the Dundee oval throughout the week, a poor forecast, which included flood watches, forced Black Rock Speedway management in to a decision to cancel the event well in advance with the possibility of racing lost.
At this point, no make-up date has been set for this Patriot Sprint Tour event, however the series will return on August 9, joining forces with the United Racing Company for the $4,000-to-win A-Verdi Championship.
The Black Rock Speedway is back in action next Friday, July 5, for a full racing program featuring a $10,000 fireworks show. D.B. Miles Insurance Agency and Doug Gross Construction will be presenting the highly-anticipated return of the BRP CanAm Late Model Tour along with a Raceway 5 Challenge for other divisions.
